Back From the Dead

I managed to reset to a new save with the exact same reputation. I did think whether to take a vacation till the end of the first season because of how hard coded the UEFA competitions are. They are in the usual group style and will change next season to the bigger league phase but I did want to see if a good rep club comes calling in the mid season. ...

Things are not good

I might need to do a reset of this save. Let me explain what happened. So it is November in the save game and the Europa League playoff hasn’t happened yet. When it should have been happening well before that at the end of August. From what I researched about this, it seems I used just a league unlocker file instead of the European Extended file which fixes the continental competitions too to draw them all properly. And it is difficult to fix this unless I start a new save game with the right league file. ...

Learning a Lot

Got to say, I am learning so much about this league as a whole given I never managed in FM over here. Then again I learned a lot from all the teams I managed so far in this save. But here given the small amount of teams it made me slow down and really see how nice this league is as a whole. I learned a lot: ...

A Mega Curveball

So when I checked Slaven Belupo’s schedule like I said before, there was a surprise The UEFA Europa League qualifiers. A chance for amazing money and a Conference League spot if I fall in either hurdle. And honestly when I saw this I instantly wanted to apply. But this angered me so much honestly They wanted to give their caretaker a shot in the QUALIFIYING ROUNDS of a UEFA COMPETITION. My headtop was on Mars I swear because given where my reputation is at you’d think they’d just fall on the floor and hire me. ...

What an ending

We managed to end our era in Saudi Arabia with a fantastic UNBEATEN double with both the Saudi Pro League and the King’s Cup. First thing that popped out to me was that our SPL match against Al-Qadsiah was the last time in the existing stadium apparently: The King’s Cup final delivered in terms of the rivalry with a close match but we were on the right side of it: ...

Absolute Cinema finish incoming

A lot of things went down and is going to go down in what could be a massive chapter in our time in Saudi Arabia. Let’s walk through a match against Al-Fateh who were in the top 4 along with us which was another freaking comeback after we bottled a 1-0 lead. I am glad their accuracy was shambolic for once because seeing our accuracy being horrible for a long time is always infuriating. Like I said it was an humdinger once again. I was shocked when we were so dominant and they were the ones who went ahead so after a big bollocking at half-time they managed to bring the points home. And Pellegri who was coming back from his hamstring injury came on and was an amazing super sub to bring us ahead and we managed to win the game. The red card at the end was basically the last kick of the game so it didn’t make much of a difference. ...

Lots to Think About

A lot of messes to go through. Pellegri finally hits form and I think there’s no need to add Luis Alberto so I say no to the transfer and he goes and tears his hamstring or some stupid muscle 😑. But this meant my young Saudi striker who was loaned from Man United hit superb form and is developing really well so he will probably start. I am trying to convince someone to join me in the summer to hopefully replace Pellegri. He is an absolute beast. But honestly after last time I am waiting to confirm it before I can even reveal it 😅. ...

Encouraging Start so far

Got to say we are surprising EVERYONE in the Saudi Pro League by remaining unbeaten and having wins against not just Al-Nassr(Double Revenge - King’s Cup and rejecting me) but FREAKING Al-Hilal too. Let’s walk through a few things including some last minute surprises and some future plans. Went hard out of the gate with last year’s Yelo League champions Ohod with a 5-0 demolition and we never looked back. And you might be seeing a new name in Martin Baturina. Let me walk through what happened there. ...

We got work to do

For the Yelo League we just needed a win over a team that was already meant to be relegated and you know what we do by now: Very dominant and it could have been more but the job was done. That was 500 to the bank officially and finally done: The less said about our match against Al-Nassr the better: To be fair I will give my team this, we went down a man in the first freaking half and holding it at 0-0 when these were the stats: ...

This Is More Like It

We were hugely dominant in the Yelo League and we needed a draw or win against Al-Raed(Ironic because they were meant to be up there with us). And we managed to deliver. This was a disasterclass in shooting is what it was but honestly a win is a win. The only thing I really had was honestly nervousness. The problem with them was that they had a manager with a 3 at the back system(Always hard to break down in FM24) and they have Svilar still present between the sticks(Surprised me that nobody really wanted to trigger his active relegation release clause). ...
