England are through and will be facing Italy with a home ground advantage of Wembley. The fight from Denmark was admirable and Schmeichel in particular was in the form of his life making saves left, right and center to deny England. It was Denmark who actually took the lead when Damsgaard scored a peach of a free kick past Pickford. England however got back into it when a cross from Saka was turned in by Kjaer under pressure from Sterling. In the second half, it was a defensive masterclass from Kjaer and Schmeichel who made a last minute clearance before the 90 and a fingertip save from Maguire respectively. However the biggest moment came in the first half of extra time as Sterling got past Maehle and went down with hardly any contact. The referee gave it as a penalty and VAR never let them double check. I know its the England crowd but given the stakes, it definitely deserved another look. Maybe it would have been disallowed but who knows?. Kane took it and Schmeichel made a great save but got unlucky with the rebound and Kane finished it up. This is their first Euro final in 55 years.
