Belgium v Russia

This was another easy match I feel. Belgium did amazing. Lukaku strong contender for the Golden Boot. First goal was unlucky since the defender’s touch nullified the offside against Lukaku. Second one was a rebound and a good goal from Meunier. The last goal was a mere formality from Lukaku. Belgium Looking Strong.

England v Croatia

An utter BOREFEST. I get that you need to defend the lead but COME ON. The entire match was a cagey affair with both teams defending their hardest but a gap in the defence and Sterling pounced on it before finishing it for the lone goal in the match. Croatia huffed and puffed but couldn’t even penetrate as England went into its infamous defensive formation.

Austria v North Macedonia

This was expected obviously but North Macedonia put up a decent fight till the second goal. Austria scored with a great play before a bit of luck made Pandev score the first goal for them in the finals. The second goal was amazing due to Alaba’s peach of a cross and the scorer wished Eriksen well which was nice. Finally Arnautovic capped off a brilliant performance.
