Netherlands v Czech Republic

What a game!! I never saw this coming. Looking at the way the first half panned out, I still thought the Dutch will go through. The second half was where things changed. De Ligt did a handball which was first penalised with a yellow since it was outside the box but it was later converted to a red by VAR since it was intentional. Netherlands had a great chance at the end of the first half when Van Aanholt hit wide when he had a lot of time. Later in the second half, Malen was clean through but made the wrong decision of trying to round the keeper. After the sending off, the obvious happened. First goal came from a great header. Finally Schick doubled the lead with a good finish.

Belgium v Portugal

Portugal were wasteful. Belgium hardly had all too many chances. Thorgan Hazard took advantage of some space and scored a beauty which was eventually the winner. Portugal huffed and puffed but most of their chances were high or wide. The biggest chance for Portugal came from Ruben Dias but he hit his header straight at Courtois.
