Austria were wasteful in chances, Ukraine were wasteful in possession. Nevertheless, this means that Austria go through as Team no 2 from Group C. This means they’ll be facing Italy in the Round of 16. Austria were looking dangerous from corners and one in particular from Alaba was put in by Baumgartner who is now the youngest scorer in this tournament now. Ukraine wasted a couple good chances but overall they were poor.

North Macedonia v Netherlands

I know the scoreline is bad against N.Macedonia but some of the chances they had were amazing. They had 2 goals ruled out for offside and one chance hit the post. This was Goran Pandev’s last ever game for them after 20 years and 122 caps. Netherlands make it 3 out of 3 to dominate this group. Depay opened the scoring with Wijnaldum scoring a brace. They just took their chances well and the other team didn’t.
